SAEINDIA is a professional engineering society representing practically all realms of science and technology. The society represents the International body, SAE International, a well established and globally recognized name for automotive standards, research and development. Its members are one of the most sought after personalities for advancement in research, development, design and manufacture of vehicles operating on land, air, water or space. The body strives to develop cutting edge technologies and establishing standards.
SAE Northern India Section (NIS), is one of the five sections in India for promoting membership from Industries, Institutions and Technical colleges and for organizing activities related to mobility engineering in the Northern India Region. Northern Section has been regularly organizing Technical lectures, seminars and conferences for its members. Besides, this society also organizes technical lectures, expositions, training programs, visit to Industries, student design Competitions, Baja India and scholarships and awards for student members. SAE NIS has successfully organized three SAE India International conferences in 2000, 2004 and 2008 in Delhi and present workshop is one such in series of workshops organized by the SAE NIS.
SAE since its establishment hosted numerous events for both the professional and student communities. In its quest to endow its members with endless opportunities to showcase their work, the society has initiated several feted events such as the SAE Congress, BAJA SAE Series, Formula SAE Series, A World In Motion, Supermileage, SAE Conventions, SAE Career Fairs, SAE Foundation and many more. SAEINDIA, its Indian chapter has been created with the same mission to foster the needs of the vast talent pool in the Indian subcontinent. Since its inception, the membership has shown tremendous growth, putting it at the forefront of other global chapters of SAE.
SAE Northern India Section caters to the promotion, coordination and development of SAEINDIA brand and its activities in the northern states of the Indian subcontinent.
